　　Of youth, and home,and that sweet time,
       
　　When I last heard their shoothing chime!
       

       
　　Those joyous hours are passed away,
       
　　And many a heart, that then was gay,
       
　　Within the tomb now darkly dwells,
       
　　And hears no more those evening bells!
       

       
　　And so ＇twill be when I am gone,
       
　　That tunefl peal will still ring on,
       
　　While other bards shall walk these dells,
       
　　And sing your praise,sweet evening bells!
       

       
　　晚钟叮咚，晚钟叮咚，
       
　　唤我回忆往日情景：
       
　　欢乐童年，温暖家园，
       
　　还有故乡悠悠钟声。
       

       
　　青春年华如水流逝，
       
　　往日友伴已无影踪，
       
　　他们相随离开人间，
       
　　再听不到美妙钟声。
       

       
　　当我年迈告别人生，
